Find answers to the most common questions parents ask about iKidz Preschool, our programs, and your child’s journey with us.
About Early Childhood & Development
Children typically join preschool between 1.8 to 2.5 years. At this age, their curiosity, language, and social awareness begin to bloom, making it the right time to start structured yet play-based learning.
Preschool nurtures a child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through play, interaction, and exploration. It teaches children to share, express, think independently, and adapt to group environments — essential life skills for later years.
Absolutely. iKidz classrooms are rich in conversation, music, and storytelling, which naturally encourage language growth. Teachers model speech and give children time and confidence to express themselves.
Transition anxiety is normal. Our teachers gently comfort and distract children through familiar songs, toys, and storytelling. Parents are guided on how to make separation smoother — with patience and consistency, most children settle in within a few days.
Every teacher at iKidz is trained to recognize emotional cues. Through play, role-play, and discussion, children learn to name feelings, manage emotions, and practice empathy — forming the base for emotional intelligence.
About iKidz Preschool
iKidz combines global best practices in early education with deep Indian values. Our 11-point philosophy focuses on safety, belonging, age-appropriate learning, emotional intelligence, parent partnership, and hands-on discovery — ensuring holistic growth, not rote learning.
We currently operate five thriving iKidz centres across the Vasai–Virar region, each maintaining the same quality standards, training methods, and philosophy of joyful learning.
iKidz is a preschool, so it does not follow a formal board curriculum. However, it aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and NEP 2020 guidelines, ensuring seamless readiness for ICSE, CBSE, and State Board schools.
No exams — only observations. Our teachers maintain continuous records of each child’s progress through activities and play-based milestones, shared regularly with parents.
Our primary language of instruction is English, but teachers also use familiar regional words to ensure comfort and understanding, especially in the early months.
Curriculum & Teaching
The iKidz curriculum is built around themes and experiences that connect classroom learning with real life. It focuses on seven areas of development — personal, social, emotional, physical, cognitive, linguistic, and creative.
We follow inquiry-based, hands-on, and experiential learning — blending academics with art, play, and storytelling. Each child is encouraged to think, question, explore, and express freely.
Our teachers use the Multiple Intelligences approach, integrating music, art, movement, logic, and nature so that every child finds a way to connect and learn joyfully.
Yes, selectively. Technology is introduced through interactive stories, music, and digital aids that enhance creativity — not replace human connection. Screen time is limited, purposeful, and always supervised.
Senior KG includes early literacy, numeracy, reasoning, and life-skill activities that build academic readiness while preserving curiosity and confidence. Children graduate from iKidz emotionally, socially, and intellectually ready for Grade 1.
Safety, Health & Hygiene
Each iKidz centre has CCTV-monitored premises, trained staff, child-safe infrastructure, and verified personnel. Children are always under supervision — from arrival to dispersal.
Daily sanitization, regular toy cleaning, and monitored washroom hygiene are part of our daily routine. Teachers model good hygiene habits — like handwashing, eating neatly, and keeping surroundings clean.
Yes. All teachers and caregivers undergo first aid, CPR, and emergency response training to handle minor injuries or health concerns immediately.
Parents are requested to share allergy information in detail during admission. We monitor meals closely and ensure no sharing of food unless permitted.
Teachers & Staff
All iKidz teachers hold ECCE or B.Ed qualifications and receive continuous in-house training based on iKidz philosophy and early childhood best practices.
We follow a structured training and evaluation system, including workshops, classroom observations, and mentoring — ensuring consistency and care across all branches.
We maintain an ideal teacher–child ratio of 1:10 in early levels and 1:12 in higher preschool levels, allowing every child personal attention.
Parents & Communication
We believe parents are our partners. Regular parent–teacher meetings, workshops, open houses, and parent–child events keep families informed and engaged.
Parents receive monthly observation summaries and photos through digital platforms, along with quarterly report discussions that highlight milestones and next steps.
Yes, with prior notice. We encourage transparency and open communication while ensuring classroom routines remain undisturbed.
Enrichment & Co-Curriculars
Our calendar includes art, music, dance, yoga, storytelling, outdoor play, gardening, cultural celebrations, and nature projects — all designed to build life skills and self-expression.
Yes. Every celebration is used as a learning opportunity — teaching values like sharing, respect, gratitude, and togetherness.
